COPPER (Cupric sulfate pentahydrate): Blue crystalline powder dye mordant circa 4000-3000 BC in Egypt, at least 1 AD in the New World. Good drabbing mordant and permanent pale sea green dye on wool. Good on all fibers. Also called blue vitriol or bluestone.
