The Fiber Frolic, our one-day event with classes, demos, and a craft fair is SATURDAY, SEPT 14 in LOS ANGELES!
MEND, UPCYCLE, and REPAIR!
Jewelry: We’ll have stations set up with broken jewelry and the tools and materials required to fix them or turn them in to something new – bring your own beads, findings, and broken items to give them new life.
Clothing: A sewing machine, some needles and thread, extra fabric – learn some basic mending skills to fix your clothes. Speedweve repair looms, sewing and sashiko-style mending.
Dyeing: Give your pillowcases, sheets, and old shirts new life with natural or procion (tie) dyes. 100% cotton recommended for dyeing. Yarn also welcomed for dyepots! Please no towels/terry, denim, or sweatshirt materials.
Additionally we’ll have spaces for social crafting with whatever projects you’d like to bring.
What to expect: Scheduled classes, natural dyeing all day, social crafting areas (bring a project), vendors, and a craft supply swap

Fee: Pay What You Can – Suggested Fee is $40 – class materials fees are extra
