Description
SLAKED LIME (Calcium hydroxide): Coarse white crystalline powder, alkali dye modifier, in use circa 50 AD around Mediterranean. Created by water on calcium oxide (unslaked lime). Neutralizes acids; good with dyewoods, reduces oxygen in indigo vats. Best on cellulose fibers.
